Aubrey & Areegra

Visual Culture has developed an ongoing production partnership with regional Victorian advertising agency Aubrey and Areegra, providing video production, photography and post-production services across a range of their client projects.

For a major Victorian energy infrastructure project, we collaborated on a series of public information and educational videos, alongside an extensive library of reusable video footage and photography.

THE BACKGROUND

Communicating complex infrastructure projects requires clear, accessible information that helps people understand what’s being planned, how projects are developed and what they may mean for surrounding communities.

Aubrey and Areegra were engaged to develop a series of educational videos for a major energy infrastructure project connected to Victoria’s evolving electricity network and renewable energy future.

The videos were designed to address common questions, explain different aspects of the project and provide useful information to communities and other stakeholders.

Beyond the finished videos, there was also an opportunity to capture a substantial library of video footage and photography that could support future communications across print, digital and internal channels.

OUR APPROACH

Aubrey and Areegra led the creative development and client relationship, preparing detailed scripts, mood boards, visual treatments and production briefs. Their team also researched and selected suitable filming locations across regional and western Victoria.

With the creative direction established, Visual Culture worked closely with the agency to deliver the production and post-production.

Filming took place across multiple regional locations, combining ground-level cinematography, staged scenarios, aerial drone footage and professional photography. Each shoot was carefully planned to capture both the specific content required for the educational videos and additional footage and imagery for future use.

Back in post-production, our editors worked collaboratively with Aubrey and Areegra’s creative director to bring the videos together.

Using the agency’s scripts, supplied voiceovers and graphic designs, we managed the editing, visual storytelling, sound and finishing. We also animated the supplied graphic elements, integrating motion graphics with the filmed footage, including some video content already available via the clients archives, to help explain key information and bring the educational content to life.

This close collaboration ensured the finished videos remained faithful to the agency’s creative vision while making full use of the footage and visual assets captured during production.

THE OUTCOME

The result was a series of educational videos that help communicate information about a complex energy infrastructure project in a clear, accessible and visually engaging way.

Combining location footage, staged scenarios, aerial cinematography, voiceover and animated graphics, the videos bring together different visual techniques to explain information that might otherwise be difficult to communicate.

Alongside the finished videos, the production also delivered an extensive library of reusable footage and photography.

These assets could be used across websites, internal communications, presentations, brochures, posters, digital publications and future video projects — extending the value of the original filming well beyond the initial deliverables.

The project also demonstrates the strength of a collaborative agency production partnership.

With Aubrey and Areegra managing the creative strategy, scripts, design and client relationship, Visual Culture provided the filming, photography, editing, motion graphics and post-production expertise to bring their ideas to life.

A collaborative approach that delivered educational video content and a valuable library of visual assets for ongoing communication needs.
