ABOUT

“What’s Up Downunder” is a successful TV series shown nationally every Saturday afternoon on Channel 10. The show features many Australian holiday destinations and attractions, with the caravanning and camping lifestyle the main focus.

CLIENT BRIEF

Visual Culture were employed to provide post production services on the series over a number of years. Post production includes all editing, grading and audio mixing. We also produced all the animated graphics that feature throughout the show. Each week, a new show would be produced with tight deadlines to get to the network.

OUR APPROACH

We spent a number of years fine tuning our editing process to get the most effective and efficient production possible. Throughout the editing, it was important for us to really tap into the emotions of the viewer, whether that be through clever storytelling of interview segments or upbeat and dynamic music. There were also a number of other segments such as van profiles, competitions and noticeboards to include in the show, so it was important to ensure it all worked seamlessly throughout.

OUTCOME

After many years on national TV, the show continues to go from strength to strength and develop a big following within the industry and with consumers. Our graphics and style are still used in the current version of the show.
