The Australasian Railway Association (ARA) is the peak body representing all passenger, freight, track operators and the wider rail supply industry in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. Its fundamental purpose is to create an environment that will permit the Australasian rail industry to prosper.

CLIENT BRIEF

A fresh, dynamic 2 minute video provoking Australians to consider a career in rail, as told through the story of a young professional in the industry (Esther Warren from John Holland).

Rail is a major National Industry, employing more than 110,000 people in a wide range of occupations, disciplines and professions.
Rail is a modern, technologically advanced industry in a period of expansion.
OUR APPROACH

In order to fulfil the brief we suggested:

Preparing a detailed brief for ambassador, Esther to ensure key messages were covered accurately.
Creating an efficient filming schedule to make the most of the one-day shoot. This included filming at key rail locations in Melbourne (City to Marybinong rail corridor, Flinders Street Station and John Holland Corporate office).
Capturing energy and movement using time-lapse footage throughout the day
Capturing overlay footage of a wide variety of jobs types from operations, manufacturing & maintenance, infrastructure, engineering, customer service and corporate specialist.
